Definition of our 830ex Flat File ForecastDefinition of our 830ex Flat File ForecastThe purpose of this document is to provide assistance for supplier personnel to interpret our weekly forecast information e-mail transmission. Order Number - EPIC purchase order number Line Number - The line number and purchase order number represent a separate release (instructions to ship). Paying close attention to line numbers will help in coordinating changes, deliveries, reconciling past-due deliveries as well as those due in the future, and reconciliation of invoices. The due date can change, but a line number remains constant unless closed or deleted. Also note that our system assigns “Soft” (unreleased) purchase order lines starting at 100. Vendor Number - The code representing the company assigned to the purchase order in our system. Blanket Order Flag - “Y” for a blanket order, “N” for a spot order. Order Type - “R” is for firm or “released” lines which should mean we have previously communicated instructions via e-mail, fax or phone to deliver the associated quantity on the corresponding date. “S” for “Soft” order lines. These lines represent requirements which are forecasted demand, but have not been released. ( Pull System) Part Number - The EPIC part number Description - The EPIC part description. Buyer - The initials of the material analyst. Expected Price - Will be greater than zero for released (Order Type “R”) lines only and is a confirmation of the price for this line. Due Date - Date we need the material. Promise Date - Same as Due Date unless notified by supplier that Due Date cannot be reached and there is a material affect to production, then it will be adjusted. Quantity Open - The quantity of parts still open on the given line, that have not been received to stock. Quantity OK - The total number of parts received to stock on a given line. Quantity In Inspection - The number of parts received, not yet to stock, but in inspection at the time the forecast was generated. Quantity In MRB - The number of parts received, not yet to stock, but in MRB at the time the forecast was generated. |
