CIVC Partners Teams With Management to Invest in EPIC Technologies, LLC

Chicago, IL, July 9, 2004 - CIVC Partners, L.P. announced today that it has teamed with management for a significant investment in EPIC Technologies, LLC, a premier specialty electronics manufacturer in the high-mix, low-to-medium volume segment of the Electronic Manufacturing Services (“EMS”) industry. EPIC is headquartered in [Rochester Hills, MI] and has manufacturing plants in Norwalk, Ohio and Juarez, Mexico. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

EPIC’s electronic manufacturing services consist primarily of the manufacture of complex printed circuit board assemblies and complete systems integration. The Company provides turnkey electronic manufacturing services to customers in the medical, automotive, telecommunications, and industrial equipment markets. Contributing to EPIC’s success have been the Company’s robust quality operating system, supply chain management, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles.
