Business Development Manager

Position Summary:

EPIC Technologies LLC, a premier electronics manufacturing service provider is seeking a Business Development Manager for Mid-West/Northeast region with a focus on Defense and Aerospace markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Identify, qualify and close new profitable business in line with set quotas and strategies while engaging appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to ensure successful business execution.

  • Develop business plan to identify prospective customers and/or key divisions to initially penetrate and grow business in target accounts

  • Participate in networking groups for the purpose of business development.

  • Interact closely with account to understand their complete design, manufacturing or services requirements

  • Provide and articulate technical and administrative information on EPIC’s capabilities

  • Develop and implement customized sales plans and presentations; manage and maintain accounts by developing strong working relationships

  • Act as principle coordinator for account visits both at EPIC and account site

  • Actively oversee the development of quotations for new business with the account and manage the sales cycle to achieve targeted revenue growth within the account

  • Regularly interact with executives of major prospective customers who are decision makers and influencers

  • Negotiates pricing and pricing models; contract negotiations

  • Engage with operational and technical teams to develop sales strategies and ensures best overall account solutions are defined and delivered

  • Executes strategies to deliver sales results

  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports

  • Meet or exceed established sales performance and key performance innitiative standards

     

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years of related EMS sales experience in the Defense and Aerospace markets, 10+ years of electronics industry experience
  • Working knowledge of export/import control rules and regulations such as ITAR & EAR
  • The ideal candidate is located within driving distance of the Northwest Ohio area
  • Experience selling design, engineering, manufacturing and post-manufacturing services
  • Proven sales accomplishments including key account development, penetration, and winning new customer business
  • Ability to penetrate deep within an account's organization and "sell" EPIC's value proposition and capabilities across that organization
  • Strong network of OEM contacts in market sectors served by EPIC
  • Ability to build relationships and interface with all levels of the organization as well as the customers'
  • Solve practical problems and eal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Execllent communication, presentation, negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Explorer
